Charlotte C Mortensson is a Swedish photographer and filmmaker based in London and Trench Town, Jamaica. For almost two decades, she has recorded the social housing in Trench Town, working closely with local historians, builders, artists and residents.

Her interest is in informal architecture, where structures develop organically, without official planning, reflecting the social and political history of the area. Many are sunrise/sunset murals, honouring the lives of family members, as well as portraits of celebrated musicians, politicians, sports people etc from the area. There are also visual records of important events in Jamaican history.
